[Layout: Two columns. Copy left, backup/restore visual right. Button under copy.]

When Was Your Last Backup? And Have You Ever Tested It?

Most business owners can answer the first question. Almost nobody can answer the second.

Here’s a scenario worth sitting with for a moment.

You wake up and your site is gone. Maybe it’s been defaced. Maybe it’s showing a database error. Maybe Google is warning visitors that it’s unsafe. You don’t know when it happened, so you don’t know how many customers hit it before you did.

You call your host. They say backups are your responsibility. You find a plugin that was supposed to be backing things up. The last successful run was eight months ago. You try to restore it anyway and discover the file is incomplete.

A backup you’ve never restored isn’t a backup. It’s a hope.

This is the single most common failure we’re called in to clean up — and it’s entirely preventable for less than most businesses spend on coffee.

[SLOT — Screenshot of a failed backup log or a “This site may be hacked” Google warning. Uncomfortable images work here — this section is supposed to create urgency.]

[ Check If I’m Actually Protected ]

SECTION 04

[Layout: Hook headline centered. 5 cards in a grid with icons. Button below.]

Five Things Quietly Going Wrong While You Run Your Business

None of them announce themselves. All of them get expensive.

Updates You’ve Stopped Clicking Something broke last time, so now you don’t touch it. Every skipped update leaves a published, documented vulnerability sitting on your site — and attackers scan for exactly those.

Backups That Have Never Been Tested The plugin says it’s running. Nobody has ever restored from it. You’ll discover whether it works on the worst possible day.

Bots Trying Your Login Right Now Automated attacks don’t target you personally — they scan everything, constantly. An unhardened WordPress login gets thousands of attempts a month, and it only has to succeed once.

Slow, Invisible Decay The database bloats. Old plugins accumulate. Load times creep up by a fraction each month. You never notice, because you’re comparing today to yesterday. Your visitors are comparing you to your competitor.

Nobody to Call at 8pm on a Friday Whoever built it isn’t answering. Your host will only talk about the server. The problem is real, urgent, and entirely yours.

[SLOT — 5 line icons, one per card, single consistent style.]

[ Find Out Which of These Apply to Me ]

SECTION 05

[Layout: Full-width band, contrasting background. Statement block. Mockup below, button under it.]

Maintenance Is Cheap. Recovery Isn’t.

A care plan costs a fraction of one emergency. And emergencies never arrive at a convenient time.

Kept properly, a site stays fast, stays secure, and stays quietly out of your way. Updates get applied on a staging copy first, so nothing breaks live. Backups run automatically, off-site, and get tested — so restoring is a task, not a crisis. And when something does go wrong, someone who already knows your site picks up immediately.

Left alone, the same site accumulates risk silently until one morning it stops being your website and starts being your emergency.

We do the first thing so you never need the second.

[SLOT — Cost comparison graphic: monthly care plan cost vs typical emergency recovery cost + downtime + lost sales. Make the gap visually obvious.]

[ Put My Site Under Care ]

SECTION 06

[Layout: Your strongest section. Full-width band, distinct background. 3 large cards, generous padding, stacked on mobile. Image slot and button after all three.]

Three Questions to Ask Anyone Who Offers to “Maintain” Your Site

Ask ours. Then go ask the others and compare the answers.

“Who is actually looking at my site — a person or a plugin?”

Most cheap maintenance plans are a plugin on autopilot. Updates apply automatically at 3am, nobody checks whether anything broke, and you find out three weeks later when a customer mentions the contact form stopped working.

That’s not maintenance. That’s a subscription to a cron job.

Here, a senior developer reviews your site. Updates get applied to a staging copy first and tested before going live. Someone with real production experience looks at the things automation can’t judge — whether a plugin update quietly changed a layout, whether a query started running slowly, whether something in your logs deserves attention before it becomes a problem.

Automation catches the obvious. Experience catches the expensive.

“Who answers when my site is down at 8pm on a Friday?”

The agency owner. Personally. Not a ticket queue with a 48-hour SLA. Not an autoresponder telling you someone will look at it Monday.

Downtime is the one problem where response time is the service. A site that’s down for two hours is an inconvenience. A site that’s down for three days is lost revenue, damaged rankings, and customers who found someone else.

You get a priority channel for emergencies, and it reaches a person who can actually act — not someone who logs your problem and passes it along.

“Will you still be here in year three?”

Plenty of providers take the monthly fee and go quiet — until you need them and discover the relationship was one-directional the whole time.

Fast replies, always. Routine questions answered within [X] hours on business days. Genuine emergencies — site down, hacked, checkout broken — handled immediately through the priority channel.

Reports you can actually read. Monthly summaries of what was updated, what was blocked, what was fixed, and anything worth your attention. Not a wall of green ticks designed to justify the invoice.

We tell you when something needs attention. Including when it’s outside your plan. You’d rather know about a growing problem than discover it later.

A partnership, not a transaction. Most care clients expand into development, design and marketing work. That only happens because we’re still reliable in year three.

[SLOT — Screenshot of a real emergency handled, with timestamps visible — issue reported and issue resolved. Blur names. On a maintenance page, this is the single most persuasive image you can show.]

[ Talk to the Owner Directly ]

SECTION 07

[Layout: Hook headline, then 2–3 column grid. Client + one-line result. Button below.]

These Sites Haven’t Gone Down. That’s the Whole Point.

Quiet is the deliverable. Here’s what quiet looks like.

SECTION 09

[Layout: Alternating rows — image left / text right, then flip. One row per item. Button at section end.]

Here’s Exactly What “Maintenance” Means Here

Because the word gets used by people who mean “we ticked the auto-update box.”

Updates applied on staging first, then tested, then deployed Core, themes and plugins updated on a copy of your site, checked to confirm nothing broke, and only then pushed live. If something conflicts, we resolve it before it ever reaches your customers — which is the entire reason people stop clicking update themselves.

[SLOT — Staging environment screenshot, or a changelog showing tested updates.]

Backups that run off-site, automatically, and get restore-tested Scheduled backups stored away from your server, retained for [X] days, covering files and database. And critically, periodically tested by actually restoring them — because an untested backup is a guess.

[SLOT — Backup dashboard showing successful runs and a completed restore test.]

Security hardening that closes the doors before anyone tries them Login protection and rate limiting, file permission auditing, security headers, disabled file editing, XML-RPC handling, and removal of the version disclosures attackers use to find vulnerable targets.

[SLOT — Security configuration or firewall dashboard.]

Malware scanning and integrity monitoring Regular scans for injected code, modified core files, unauthorised admin accounts and known-malicious patterns. Caught early, an infection is a cleanup. Caught late, it’s a rebuild and a Google blacklisting.

[SLOT — Scan results screen showing a clean site.]

Uptime monitoring that alerts us, not just you Your site checked every [X] minutes from multiple locations. If it goes down, we know immediately — often before you do. You shouldn’t find out your site is offline from a customer.

[SLOT — Uptime monitoring dashboard with a long green record.]

Performance checks so decay never creeps in Load times measured monthly, Core Web Vitals tracked, database cleaned of accumulated revisions and orphaned data, images and assets audited. Sites don’t get slow overnight — they get slow one unnoticed millimetre at a time.

[SLOT — Performance trend graph holding steady over months.]

SSL, domain and expiry monitoring Certificates and domain renewals tracked so nobody wakes up to a browser warning telling every visitor the site is unsafe. It’s an avoidable, embarrassing, and surprisingly common outage.

Included development time every month Every plan includes [X] minutes or hours of actual development work — content edits, small fixes, tweaks, additions. Use it or don’t. Most clients find this alone justifies the plan.

[SLOT — Task list or ticket screenshot showing real client requests completed.]

Emergency response when it genuinely matters Site down, hacked, or a critical function broken? Priority channel, immediate attention, and a person who already knows your codebase rather than one meeting it for the first time under pressure.

A monthly report a human wrote What was updated, what was blocked, what was fixed, what’s coming, and anything that needs your decision. Written to be read, not to look impressive.

The People Maintaining Your Site Should Be Able to Fix It Too

Care, development, design and marketing under one team — so a problem never becomes a referral to somebody else.

Maintenance & Security Updates, backups, hardening, monitoring, emergency response. You’re here.

Why one team beats a maintenance-only provider: when something breaks, we don’t diagnose it and refer you elsewhere — we fix it. When you need a new feature, it’s built by people who already know your codebase. When your site needs to grow, nobody has to spend a week learning it first.

How We Take Over a Site We Didn’t Build

Six steps, usually completed within your first week.

01 — Full Audit We go through everything: WordPress and PHP versions, plugin inventory and vulnerabilities, existing backup situation, security posture, performance baseline, and any signs of prior compromise. You get an honest written assessment.

02 — Immediate Backup Before we touch anything, a complete verified backup is taken and stored off-site. Always the first action, without exception.

03 — Stabilise Critical vulnerabilities patched, outdated software brought current on staging, and anything actively broken fixed. If we find an existing infection, cleanup happens here.

04 — Harden Security configuration applied, login protection enabled, permissions corrected, monitoring connected, and automated backup schedule established and tested.

05 — Baseline Performance, uptime and security benchmarks recorded so future changes are measurable against a known starting point.

06 — Ongoing Care Monthly cycle begins: tested updates, verified backups, scans, performance checks, your included development time, and a report written by a person.

[SLOT — Onboarding checklist visual, or a real audit report page.]

[ Start With the Audit ]

SECTION 12

[Layout: 3 cards side by side. Button below.]

You Don’t Have to Commit Before You Know What You’re Dealing With

Three ways in. Pick the one that matches your situation.

One-Off Security Audit A fixed-scope review of your site’s vulnerabilities, backup situation, performance and security posture, with prioritised recommendations you can act on yourself. The lowest-risk way to find out where you stand.

Monthly Care Plan Ongoing updates, backups, monitoring, hardening and support. Best when you want it handled and off your mind permanently.

Emergency Recovery Site hacked, down, or broken right now? We take one-off emergency work whether or not you’re a client. Get in touch immediately.

[SLOT — Simple comparison graphic or three icons.]

SECTION 13

[Layout: Two columns. Button below.]

Whether Something Is Already Broken or You Just Want to Sleep Better

Two kinds of clients arrive here. One is in a hurry.

Come to us urgently when…

Your site is down and you don’t know why You’ve been hacked, defaced, or flagged by Google as unsafe Your site is loading a page you didn’t put there An update broke something and you can’t roll it back Your host suspended you for malicious activity You’ve discovered your backups don’t actually work

Come to us calmly when…

Your site works but nobody is looking after it You’ve stopped clicking update because you’re afraid of what happens Whoever built it has stopped answering You’re running a store where downtime costs real money You want someone to call before there’s an emergency You’d rather pay a small amount monthly than a large amount once

[SLOT — Two-column graphic, urgent vs preventive.]

[ Tell Us Which One We Are ]

SECTION 14

[Layout: Tool logo grid, 2 rows. Short copy below. Button.]

The Tools Behind the Quiet

Monitoring and infrastructure running in the background so you never have to think about it.

Off-site Backup Systems · Uptime Monitoring · Malware Scanning · Staging Environments · Version Control · Web Application Firewall · Performance Monitoring · SSL Monitoring

Tools do the watching. People do the judging. Automation is excellent at noticing that something changed — it’s poor at deciding whether that change matters, and that decision is where experience earns its keep.

[SLOT — Tool logo grid, greyscale, evenly spaced.]

[ Ask Us How It Works ]

SECTION 15

[Layout: Two columns. Ticks left, crosses right. Button below.]

We’ll Tell You If You Don’t Need Us

We’d rather lose the plan than sell cover you won’t use.

A care plan makes sense if you…

Run a business where the website generates enquiries or sales Have no reliable, tested backup system in place Have stopped applying updates out of fear Don’t have a developer you can reach quickly Run a store where an hour of downtime costs real money Would rather pay predictably than face an emergency invoice

You probably don’t need us if you…

Have an in-house developer already doing all of this Run a static site with no forms, no logins and no database Are happy to handle updates, backups and monitoring yourself Have a site you genuinely wouldn’t mind losing entirely

[SLOT — Simple two-column tick/cross graphic.]

SECTION 17

[Layout: 4 columns desktop, stacked mobile. Timeline style. Image and button below.]

What Changes Once Someone Is Actually Watching

The improvements are real, even though the goal is that nothing happens.

Week One The audit surfaces what’s actually exposed — usually including one or two things that genuinely surprise the owner. Backups start running and get verified. The site gets hardened and patched.

Month One Updates get applied without drama for the first time in a long while. Load times improve as accumulated bloat gets cleared. You stop thinking about your website, which is the real deliverable.

Month Three The monthly development time turns into a steady stream of small improvements you’d been putting off for a year. Performance stays flat instead of drifting downward.

Year One No incidents, no emergency invoices, no lost weekends. A site that’s measurably faster and more secure than it was — and a number you can call before there’s a crisis rather than during one.

[SLOT — Uptime and performance graphs holding steady over 12 months. Boring lines, which is the point.]

[ Start This Week ]

SECTION 18

[Layout: Narrow centered column, distinct background. Short. Button below.]

Here’s What We Refuse to Promise You

Because anyone promising it doesn’t understand security.

We won’t promise your site can never be compromised. No provider can honestly say that — not us, not a large hosting company, not an enterprise security vendor. New vulnerabilities appear constantly, and anyone guaranteeing absolute safety is either uninformed or hoping you are.

We won’t promise 100% uptime either. Hosting providers fail, networks drop, data centres have bad days.

What we will promise: your site will be updated, hardened, and monitored by people rather than a plugin. Your backups will exist off-site and be tested rather than assumed. When something does go wrong, someone who already knows your site will respond fast — and you’ll be told what happened honestly, including the parts that reflect badly on us.

Security isn’t a guarantee. It’s a practice. Ours is a good one.

[ That’s the Honesty I Wanted ]

SECTION 19

The Part Where Someone Other Than Us Does the Talking

“[Short, specific quote about an emergency handled quickly — the strongest possible proof on this page.]” [Name] — [Company]

“[Short quote about peace of mind or no longer worrying about the site.]” [Name] — [Company]

“[Short quote about the included development time being unexpectedly valuable.]” [Name] — [Company]

[SLOT — Real client photos. They outperform initials in circles by a wide margin.]

SECTION 20

[Layout: Accordion, collapsed by default. Button below.]

The Questions You’re Too Polite to Ask

Ask them anyway. We’d rather you knew now.

My site is fine. Do I really need this? Every site we’ve recovered was fine until it wasn’t. The honest framing is this: a care plan costs a small predictable amount monthly, and an emergency costs a large unpredictable amount plus downtime plus lost sales. You’re choosing which type of cost you’d rather have.

Can you maintain a site you didn’t build? Yes — that’s most of our care clients. We audit it thoroughly first so we know exactly what we’ve taken on, and we’ll tell you honestly if we find something concerning.

What if my site was built with Elementor, Divi or a page builder? No problem. We maintain sites on every common setup. We may point out where a builder is costing you performance, but we’ll maintain what you have rather than pushing a rebuild you didn’t ask for.

What counts as an emergency? Site down, hacked or defaced, checkout or forms broken, or anything actively costing you customers. Those go through the priority channel and get attention immediately, including outside business hours on the higher plans.

How fast do you actually respond? Routine requests within [X] hours on business days. Genuine emergencies immediately through the priority channel. Response times are specified per plan so you know exactly what you’re getting.

What happens if I get hacked while on a plan? Cleanup and recovery are included — we handle isolation, cleanup, restoration, hardening the entry point, and submitting for review to clear any Google warnings. You don’t get an emergency invoice for something we were being paid to prevent.

What if I get hacked and I’m not a client? Contact us anyway. We take emergency recovery work as one-off projects. Get in touch immediately rather than waiting — infections spread and Google blacklisting compounds the damage.

Do you cover hosting? Care plans are separate from hosting, so you can stay where you are. We’ll tell you honestly if your host is part of the problem, and handle migration if you decide to move.

What’s included in the development time? Content edits, small fixes, image swaps, plugin configuration, minor layout adjustments, troubleshooting. Larger projects get quoted separately, but most clients find the included time covers everything they’d otherwise be chasing someone for.

Do unused hours roll over? [State your policy honestly here — rolls over for X months, or doesn’t roll over. Either is fine; being unclear is not.]

Am I locked into a contract? No. Monthly plans, cancel any time. We’d rather keep clients because they want to stay than because they can’t leave.

Who owns my site and data? You do, entirely. Hosting, domain, backups and all credentials stay in your name. If you leave, we hand over everything including your backup archive.

Do you work with international clients? Yes. We work across timezones without drama — email, WhatsApp, or scheduled calls, whatever suits you.

[ Ask Me Something Not on This List ]

SECTION 21

[Layout: Full-width closing band. Strong background or faded mockup behind. One button. No navigation, no distractions.]

Nobody Sets Up Backups the Day Before They Need Them

That’s the entire problem with this service. By the time it’s obviously worth it, it’s too late to start.

You’ve probably been meaning to sort this out for a while. It never becomes urgent — right up until the morning it becomes the only thing that matters.

Send us your website address. Within 2 working days you’ll get an honest security check — what’s outdated, what’s exposed, whether your backups would actually restore, and what we’d fix first.

No pressure. No obligation. If you’re already well protected, we’ll tell you that and you can carry on with your day.
